He has been ridden both English and western, but also is amazing to ride bareback. He’s very smooth and easy going. Mario is a trail riding machine and is as comfortable as sitting on the couch cruising down the trails. He’s very sure footed and gets around like a mountain goat. He’s a brave partner that will go through running water, mountainous terrain and navigates easily around the prickly pear cactus. He’s confident alone, but can lead or follow a group. He doesn’t mind his position. Mario is fun to ride in the arena. He has a desirable jog, extended trot, and sweet and slow rocking chair lope. He side passes, ground ties, and will go over all the trail obstacles with ease. He has a one handed neck rein and guides easily. Mario is safe, safe, safe for any level of rider. He’s a great confidence builder for a timid or new rider. Always reassuring his rider that we got this together. Mario drives good as well. He stands quiet and patient while being harnessed up and is accustomed and confident pulling a 10ft wagon. He would look fabulous going down the hometown parade or in a wedding venue. Standing 14.3 hands, Mario is easy to mount and dismount. He stands still for a mounting block or will lie down with a touch of a finger so you can mount up and go. Mario loves attention and the little girls will go crazy over his tremendous mane! His ground manners are impeccable and he is as honest as they come to ride and handle in every way. Mario is good with other horses and will follow you around in the pasture wanting attention. He will drop his head to the ground so the littlest of kiddos can halter him. Mario has been so much fun to own and I’m very excited to offer him. We love this marvelous gelding and look forward to him getting his forever home.
