Tall, dark, handsome and honest… yes this big boy is all that and then some. We affectionately call this sweet gelding, Partner and that he is. He is a stunning blood bay that is full made with great bone and a soft, kind eye.  We have ridden Partner all over our ranch and he’s been extensively ridden out on the trails, down to the river, and all over our beautiful desert. He is confident alone and will go right where you point him. He walks the same speed going away from the barn as headed back to it. Slow and on a draped rein. He will go over all the trail obstacles in and out of the arena. He’s accustomed to logs, bridges, and drags. He will side pass over the poles and to open any gate. Partner has been exposed to dogs, cattle, donkeys, pigs, buffalo, camels, and also has seen the wildlife pop in and out along the trails. Blowing tarps, heavy traffic, gunfire, and machinery do not bother him. We frequently use him to gather cattle in the pasture, drive cattle up the lead up for the roping chute, and sort cattle in the pens. We have roped slower cattle on him and the roping dummy. He will also pony colts and other horses without an issue. Partner is smooth, quiet and gentle to ride. He would just assume go slow, but he is not lazy. He has the best slow, steady jog and lope that you can ride all day. He’s comfortable, effortless and easy to ride and operate. He has a solid one handed neck rein and guides easily. Partner also looks beautiful cruising around in English tack as well as bareback. He never goes very fast and is a push style ride. He enjoys being out on the trails for a nice leisurely ride and never is barn or buddy sour. He ground ties where you drop a rein and will stand quietly tied to a fence or trailer. Although Partner is not a big time performance horse he is well trained in the arena with some fancy buttons. He has flawless lead departures, flying lead changes, side passes, a nice pivot turn around, and is an elegant mover. He does catch your attention cruising around the arena, on the ranch, or even standing in his stall or pasture. He would be more suitable for 4H, beginner, local shows and events or a fancy, safe trail horse. He is sired by the world champion stallion, Machine Made.
